There was deafening silence in the Mayor's Large Conference Room Friday, July 2nd, 2010 as Mayor Cedric Glover walked in with his new SPD Chief of Police nominee, 20-year veteran Sgt. Willie Shaw, Jr. (Who must still await Council approval in their next meeting.)

After the Mayor introduced Chief Shaw to the media, city officials and members of the Shreveport Police Dept., they applauded his appointment.

Following Glover's announcement, Shaw conducted his first interview with the media...Tom Pace recorded the last few minutes and posted this podcast on his website www.ShreveTalk.com .
